Death was attributed to a heart condition. Mr. Kemp died in the room he was born in 70 years ago. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 3 P.M. in Mayes Ward Chapel, and the Rev. Mr. Jenson from Sandy Plains will officiate. Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:45 p.m. Mr. Kemp was a resident of Marietta his entire life. He was a member of the Olive Springs Baptist Church, and International Order of Odd Fellows. He farmed for many years, and also managed Kemp Cannery as a sideline for 10 years. He had been in bad health for the past two years. Survivors are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Young Williams of Marietta, Mrs. Louis Jones of Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Luther Wood of Atlanta and Mrs. Dudley Sorrells of Marietta; two sons, N.A. and Jack, both of Marietta; one sister, Mrs. L.O. Nichols of Atlanta; two brothers, K.G. of Marietta and W.W. of Tallahassee; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Mitchell Kemp of Marietta; a daughter-in- law, Mrs. Morris Kemp of Marietta, and eight grandchildren.
