The funeral services were held at Midway church, the Rev Mr PATTON of Acworth officiating, and the interment was in the cemetery there. Mr LINDLEY, who was 32 years old, is survived by his wife and one little child, two sisters, Mrs L W HIBBLE and Mrs M B WOOD of Marietta; four brothers, Warren LINDLEY of Lost Mountain, Walter and Florence LINDLEY of Birmingham, and J B LINDLEY in France, and two uncles Messrs W A FLORENCE and Tom FLORENCE of Marietta. The family were formerly residents of Lost Mountain but moved to Americus about a year ago. Mr LINDLEY was drowned on Sunday while trying to save his little niece, Allene WRIGHT, but the child perished at the same time. Little Allene was also brought to her old home, Lost Mountain, for burial, and a double funeral for uncle and niece was conducted by Mr PATTON. Allene is survived by her father, Mr Charlie WRIGHT, and an older sister, Louise WRIGHT of Americus, who accompanied the body here. Mrs LINDLEY, the bereaved wife, lost her father, Mr Pink SCOTT just one week ago. It was altogether one of the saddest, most tragic funerals that Lost Mountain ever saw.
