The Marietta Journal  June 18, 1891
DIED - Mr J E MELL died at his sister's, Mrs Kate SHUGART, on last Monday
afternoon, in this city.  He was about 36 years old, and had been sick but a
short time.  He was raised in Marietta and was well known to most of our
citizens.  He was a quiet unobtrusive young man and respected by our people. 
His burial took place last Tuesday morning.  Rev J A WYNNE officiated at his
funeral.
