DEATH OF MRS GEORGE MOORE

Mrs Martha WELSH MOORE died at her home in Waycross on Friday, August 16th.  The
remains were brought to Marietta for funeral services and interment on Saturday,
August 17th.  The services were conducted from the home of her mother, Mrs E I
WELSH, at four o'clock on Saturday afternoon, the Rev Rembert SMITH officiating.

"Asleep in Jesus," "God Will Take Care of You" and "Abide with Me" were the
hymns sweetly sung by Mrs Henry WYATT, Sr, Mrs E P DOBBS, Mr E L MOORE and Mr
BEYERLE.

A touching feature of this saddest of funerals was the fact that the coffin was
placed in the very spot where Martha WELSH, as a happy bride, plighted her troth
to George MOORE just eight years ago.

The interment was in the city cemetery, the pall-bearers being Messrs A S COHEN,
George H SESSIONS, E G GILBERT, W L BENSON, W A SAMS and J J DANIELL.

The grave was covered and surrounded with beautiful flowers sent by sorrowing
friends of Waycross and Marietta.

Mrs MOORE is survived by her husband, and three little children, George aged 7,
Talley aged 5, and Emily aged 3; her mother, Mrs E I WELSH; four sisters, Mrs J
H GROVES and Misses Ava and Lois WELSH of Marietta, and Mrs S B SWETMAN of
Slidell, Louisiana, and two brothers, Messrs George and Stanley WELSH of
Marietta.  Mrs MOORE was a splendid character remarkable for her bright and
happy nature.  She numbered her friends by her acquaintances, and the sincere
sympathy of all goes out to the young husband in his bereavement, and the little
children left motherless.
