McIntosh of Marietta, died at his residence there at 2 o’clock Saturday morning. He was apparently in the best of health till within two hours of death. Dr. McIntosh was assistant commissioner of agriculture under Colonel R.T. Nesbitt and was one of the best known men in the state and was prominent and greatly loved and respected at home. Dr. McIntosh, as a member of the Savannah Volunteer Guards, was in the Confederate army and was wounded at the battle of Sailor’s Creek, Virginia in 1865.
