The Marietta Journal, July 3, 1890
Mr W B PILGRIM died in this place on last Thursday morning in the 65th year of
his age.  He was an old citizen, esteemed and respected by our people.  During
the late war he was a member of Phillips Legion and fought bravely through the
Virginia campaign.  His influence as a citizen was on the side of temperance,
morality and religion.  He leaves a wife and two children, one single daughter
and one married daughter, Mrs T H MATTHEWS.  His funeral took place at the
Methodist church last Friday morning of which church he was a member, Rev P M
RYBURN officiating.  His remains were placed to rest in the city cemetery.  Our
sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
