No other details were given, and it will be long before any details from comrades can reach the stricken parents. Weyman PITTMAN was in Alabama at the time he left for the army, and hence is not listed with the Cobb County boys in the records. He is the first of our boys to have made the supreme sacrifice for home and country. Our sympathy goes out to the bereaved relations, but a hundred times more glorious is his name and memory, than that of any man who would fail to respond to the call of humanity, or who would hesitate in offering his life to protect his native land.
