Cobb County Times, February 19, 1920
Mr Bird RAINEY, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Acworth, died
Sunday night in Florida.  His body was brought home and interred in the Acworth
cemetery Wednesday.

Deceased was 82 years old, a member of the Baptist church, a Mason, and served
in the Confederate army during the war between the states.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Ida KENDRICK and Mrs John AWTREY, four
sons, L A, S B, Charles and J B RAINEY and several grandchildren.
