As the little girl died of that dread disease, diptheria, the funeral was held at the grave in the City Cemetery. Two old friends of the family, Dr McMULLIN and Dr WELLS, who were attending the Methodist Conference in Atlanta, conducted the services. The floral offerings were many and beautiful, and the little grave was covered with quantities of flowers. Evelyn is survived by her father, Mr Tip ROGERS, three brothers, Grady of Philadelphia, and Earle and Malcolm of Marietta, and an aunt, Miss Nettie WYATT of Oklahoma. Her mother died when she was a tiny baby, and Mrs B T FREY, a relative, took Evelyn home with her. There the little girl had every care and attention that love could bestow, and she was an unusually pretty, bright, and attractive child. She celebrated her sixth birthday with a lovely party on October 30th, and a happier child could not have been found. Little Evelyn was in the first grade at school, and her teacher, Miss Allene FIELD, paid her a touching tribute. The sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved family. Additional Comments: Georgia Death Records list her as Evelyn FREY.
