Mr Millard SCROGGINS, wagon man in the employ of the county, was accidentally
killed Wednesday.  In stooping to pick up a rock his pistol dropped from its
scabbord and discharged, the bullet entering his breast.  Death resulted almost
instantly.  He leaves a wife and one child.  Mr SCROGGINS was a resident of
Coxe's district and has many friends who will regret to learn of his death.

The accident occurred near Mableton.
