The Marietta Journal, April 5, 1894
from the Acworth County News column:

Another good man has passed away.  On last Friday evening about three o'clock Mr
Anthony S SMITH quietly breathed his last.  Mr SMITH was an humble, christian
man and leaves many relatives and friends to mourn his death.  His funeral was
preached at the Christian church, of which he was a devoted member, last Sunday
morning at ten o'clock by Dr THOMAS, assisted by Rev A J MORGAN and Mr Joe
QUILLIAN.  We tender our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
