She had lain sick for the past ten weeks and had suffered as no one but her knew, yet she bore her suffering with much patience. Everything that medical skill and loving hands could do was done, but we know that God does all things well and that he never makes mistakes. Miss Annie Ruth joined the Baptist church here five years ago, and had been a constant attendant at Sunday school since a little child. It is very sad to think about and hard to understand why God should see fit to take this one, so young, just entering womanhood, but we must remember that when He doth appear that these things that seem so unreal will be made plain. Her funeral was at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 8 o'clock conducted by Rev Edwards BUCHANAN. Annie Ruth is survived by a father, mother, and four brothers. The many friends of this dear family deeply sympathize with them in this sad bereavement. Many relatives and friends from a distance were present at the funeral. The burial was in the city cemetery. - Mary Jane Additional Comments: from the Powder Springs column in The Marietta Journal & Courier dated Friday, April 18, 1913 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cobb/obits/s/spratlin1221nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
