Rev A G JOHNSON officiated at the funeral services. She was 82 years 9 months and 27 days old, was born in Gwinnett county, Ga., joined the Presbyterian church when about 18 years old and has lived a consistent member of her church all through life. She and her husband lived together nearly 61 years - moved to Cobb county February the 18th 1835. She was one of the members that organized the Mar's Hill church. She leaves a husband, two sons and two daughters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. One son lives in Owanah, Texas, the other three children live near the old homestead and all present in her last illness. She called the family all by name to her bedside and bid them all farewell as calmly as if she were going on a visit. She said she was going to die and wanted them to prepare to meet her in Heaven. She was lovely in person as in character and in death her countenance was glorified with a beauty that looked like a reflection on her youth. Her mother was the first person interred in Mar's Hill Cemetery.
