The Marietta Journal  December 19, 1919
Mr LINDLEY was drowned on Sunday while trying to save his little niece, Allene
WRIGHT, but the child perished at the same time.

Little Allene was also brought to her old home, Lost Mountain, for burial, and a
double funeral for uncle and niece was conducted by Mr PATTON.

Allene is survived by her father, Mr Charlie WRIGHT, and an older sister, Louise
WRIGHT, of Americus, who accompanied the body here.
