The Marietta Journal  Sept 22, 1898
CUPID'S CAPERS - At the Christian church in this city, Wednesday evening,
September 11th (sic), at eight o'clock, Mr Daniel H COLLINS was married to Miss
Sarah Isabella BARRETT of this city.  Miss Lois BARRETT was maid of honor, and
Mr Chas E RAINEY best man.  The attendants were Mr Claud G DURHAM and Miss
Idelle COLLINS, Claud W McMILLIAN and Miss Rossie BROOK, Chas C ADAMS and Miss
Leila DURHAM, Clayton LEMON and Miss Ella KITCHEN, Messrs C Raymond McEVER,
Ralph E KELPIN, H H NICHOLS and Walter W KITCHEN.  The ceremony was performed by
Rev E M DYER in his usual impressive and beautiful manner.  The church was
decorated beautifully for the occasion and was filled with spectators, friend
and relatives, who witnessed the imposing nuptials.  Thus joined together two
hearts, one loving, kind and gentle and the other manly, noble and generous.  Mr
COLLINS is bookkeeper for O Awtrey & Co., and is genial and popular.  Mrs
COLLINS is one of Acworth's most amiable and beautiful young women, possessing
all those charming qualities that adorn lovely womanhood.  After the ceremony
the bride and groom with their relatives and immediate friends repaired to the
home of the groom where a reception was given them.  They will occupy the
NORTHCUTT home on Main street.

Mr and Mrs D D BARRETT entertained delightfully at a reception given to the
bridal party on Friday evening.

from the Acworth County News column of The Marietta Journal dated Thursday,
September 22, 1898.  

Wednesday evening was September 14th.  The Acworth column dated September 8,
1898, included the wedding announcement with the correct date of the 14th.
