The Cherokee Advance 1 Jan 1885 p 3
On Wednesday night Dec. 24th Christmas eve--a happy marriage was consummated at
the residence of the brides (sic) father, Mr. J. P. Boring, of Cobb county.  The
contracting parties were Miss Savilla Boring and Mr. Walter W. Benson of
Woodstock. Rev. W. H. Dean officiating.  The bride is a lovely young lady,
accomplished and has a host of friends and admirers; the groom is a partner of
Capt. W. H. Perkinson in large mercantile business at Woodstock, a fine business
man and highly esteemed.  To the happy couple the Advance sends a happy New
Years (sic) greeting wishing for them a long life of usefulness, peace and plenty.
