RUNAWAY WEDDING

On Tuesday night about nine o'clock Judge GANN had a call for a marriage license
from a young couple who were evidently avoiding friends and relatives.

They gave their names as George A Draper HAYNES, age 21, and Rubie Lillyan
MATHEWS, age 18, addresses not given.

Obtaining a license, the Judge was induced to accompany them to the Golf Club in
search of a minister, where the ceremony was performed by Dr R G SMITH on the
front porch of the club in the presence of a number of witnesses.
