The Marietta Journal  February 25, 1904
The marriage of Miss Laura MILAM of this place and Mr Homer H HUGHES of Live
Oak, Fla., formerly of Ellijay, took place Wednesday afternoon, 17th, at the
residence of the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs E L MILAM.  Rev Fletcher WALTON
performed the ceremony.  The bride is a very pretty, amiable and charming young
lady and is greatly admired by a large circle of friends.  The gentlemanly groom
is a most excellent and worthy young man.  The happy couple left on the evening
train for the "land of flowers," their future home.  Our best wishes follow.
