The Marietta Journal, Friday, May 18, 1877
found under the Acworth Affairs column heading:

Mr Thompson LAWHON and Miss Sallie NICHOLS were married last Thursday evening
week, by Rev A J JOHNSON.  May long life and happiness be theirs.


 

Additional Comments:
The notation of 'last Thursday evening week' suggests that the wedding took
place on May 10, 1877.
