The Marietta Journal, May 3, 1894
Mr Sterling C PHILLIPS of Marietta and Miss Carrie ROSSIGNOL of Clarksville,
Ga., were married on last Monday afternoon at her father's home in Clarksville,
and arrived here on Tuesday and are stopping at the residence of the groom's
parents, Col and Mrs C D PHILLIPS, on Washington Avenue.  The groom is a clerk
in the Marietta post office and is a young man of probity and highly respected
by all who know him.  The bride is a young lady well-known to our people, having
been a resident of our city a few years ago.  She is quite beautiful and of a
sweet and amiable disposition.  We extend our warmest congratulations to the
happy couple and wish for them a life of unalloyed happiness and abundant
prosperity.
