Marietta Journal, April 2 1903
From the Marietta Journal dated Thursday, April 2 1903:

COGBURN - UPSHAW

Mr E Judson COGBURN of near Marietta was happily married to Miss Lillie UPSHAW
of Milton county on Wednesday evening, April 1st.  Rev J J CROW performed the
ceremony.

The groom is one of Cobb county's most excellent and worthy young men, upright,
industrious and clever and everybody is his friend.

The bride is the daughter of Mr J M UPSHAW of Milton county, one of its most
prominent citizens and successful farmers.  She is one of the prettiest young
ladies in that county, intelligent, amiable and popular.  Her friends are only
limited by her acquaintances.  She is the sister of Mr Ed UPSHAW, clerk at DuPre
Brothers store, and a niece of Mr Ed COOK, of this place.

We extend our hearty good wishes for their happiness and prosperity.
