Reverend Gary DAVIS is thought to have married Sarah 'Sallie' D. FLOYD, daughter of Garland Gallant Floyd and his first wife, Nancy ABERCROMBIE [daughter of James ABERCROMBIE, of Laurens, Laurens District, South Carolina, USA]; Sarah 'Sallie' D. FLOYD and Reverend Gary DAVIS married circa 1821 Hall County, Georgia, USA; she is buried next to her husband near DAVIS CROSSROADS, in Davis-Hill Family Cemetery, Cobb County, Georgia, USA. Descendants of their grandson, Benjamin 'Ben' DAVIS, and of their son, Garland F. B. [Bushrod] 'Bush' DAVIS and his wife, Susan, settled in the areas around Carroll County, Georgia, circa 1860 and later.... The Davis-Hill Family Cemetery, near DAVIS CROSSROADS, Cobb County, Georgia, is located in the middle of/near a residential section currently being studied for development, recently the subject of review by the historical society of that area, marked by historical marker and currently the project of restoration.
