Dear Sir
I am sorry I could not give you this information sooner but when I got your 
letter my mother was away from home.  Rev. James Vining was born Nov 3 1845 in 
Washington County Ga, his father was Owen Vining &  his mother name Edyan Ivey. 
He married Sarah Brooker May 14th 1866,  
 
William L. Vining  b. Feb  9th 1867.
George W.  Vining  b. Oct  18,  1868
Mary Jane  Vining  b. Feb  19,  1871
Sarah Vining       b. March 11, 1873  
Laura Vining       b. April  16,  1875
J.O. Vining        b. Feb 15,  1878 
Carrie Vining      b. Aug  15, 1880
Christian Vining   b. April  12, 1882
Joel Vining        b. March 5, 1886
Arlo Vining        b. March 5, 1886

He was ordained Sept 14th 1879 at Bethel Baptist Church in Coffee Co Ga. He 
served Mount Zion, Mount Pleasant, Reedy Branch, Antioch, New Hope, 
Friendship , Mud Vallie, Sand Hill Broxton, Pearson, that is all that I can 
remember just now. His father moved to Coffee Co when he was 10 yrs old and 
lived in Coffee the rest of his life except 1 year in Clinch. 
He made his home in Broxton 17 yrs before his death. 
He died Aug 26 1922, was buried at Mount Zion church 4 miles from Axson Ga.
My mother is still living, will be 78 next March, she was born March 1, 1845, 
the children 5 are dead and 5 living:
W. L. Vining lives at Guess Mill Pond  
G. W. Vining Waycross Ga
J. O. Vining Waycross Ga
Laura Hutto lives at Stockton 
Carrie Tanner lives in Fla.
