Douglas Enterprise - December 15, 2013
Mr. Jimmy Harper, age 60, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 
2013, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Harper was born on 
January 13, 1953, in Douglas, GA to the late James Edward Harper and Akiko 
Haruki Harper.
 Survivors include his wife, Melissa Jo Harper of Douglas, GA; son, Jamie 
Harper of Douglas, GA; three step daughters, Victoria Maxam, Alison Maxam both 
of Douglas, GA and Olivia Maxam of Springfield, MO; four grandchildren, Hayden 
Harper of Douglas, GA, Braxton Cobb of Missouri, Landon Cobb of Missouri and 
Je'an Luc Maxam of Douglas, GA; brother, Jack "Trish" Harper of Douglas, GA; 
two sisters, Judy (David) Hobby of Fitzgerald, GA and JoAnn (Wes) Grant of 
Green Cove Springs, FL and several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral service was held on Friday, December 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel 
of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Sherwood Nance officiating. Eulogy given by 
David Lott.
 Interment followed at Satilla Memorial Gardens.
 Music was furnished for the service by CD "Even if the Healing Doesn't 
Come," "Heaven is Now my Home," "Amazing Grace my Chains are Gone" and "I'll 
See You Again."
 Pallbearers were Billy Ray Harper, Berry Harper, Stan Pharr, William Harper, 
Ronnie Nolen, Matthew Russ.
 Honorary pallbearers were personnel of Lott Builders Supply, David Lott, Toby 
Cash, Phil Mote, Duke Stewart, Herman Eillis, Jimmy Graham, Walter Thompson, 
Greg Thackston, Ron Crummy,
 Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
