Lucille Kirkland Obituary
Lucille Kirkland, age 81, of Douglas, GA passed away at South Georgia Medical 
Center, Valdosta, GA on Thursday, December 16, 2010, following an extended 
illness. Mrs. Kirkland was born on May 21, 1929 to the late Judge Thomas and 
Dora Bell Thompson Niblett in Cochran, GA. She worked in home care as a 
caretaker. She is survived by: husband: Talley Kirkland, Jr.; son: Ray Butler, 
Douglas, GA; daughter: Carolyn Brinson, Douglas, GA; sister: Shirley McMcDoanld, 
Plant City, FL; brother: Carlos Niblett, Bradenton, Fl; 4 grandchildren, 2 great 
grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 
on Saturday, December 18, 2010 in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. 
Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
