Mrs. Logue was born on April 18, 1927, in Willacoochee, Atkinson Co., GA, to the late Willis James O'Neal and Hazel Leedom O'Neal. She was a charter member of Westwood Baptist church and formerly employed by Federal Coreset, Spectrum Apparel and Leemar Corp. Survivors include, her son, Von (Cheryl) Logue of Douglas, GA; three daughters, Linda (Ronald) Merritt of Ambrose, GA, Diane (Norman) Chaney, and Catherine Logue both of Douglas, GA, daughter-in-law, Rozene Logue of Douglas, GA; sister, Christine McLendon of Douglas, GA; brother, J.W. "Bud" O'Neal of Willacoochee, GA; ten grandchildren, Chance Logue, Dewitt Logue, Greg Merritt, Karen Joyce, Missy Roberson, Pebbles Pittman, Katrina Tarrant, Tierney Smith, Kelly Logue and Shelly Logue, seventeen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Logue and son, Jimmy Logue. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. Music was furnished for the service by Pam Turk, "He Wrote my Name," and church choir, "It is Well With my Soul" with Bernie Evans playing the piano. Interment followed at Purvis Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Rudolph Dobbs, Donnie Giddens, John Sturgis, Don Gillis, Mark Dill, David Evans. Honorary pallbearers were Heaven Bound Sunday School Class. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
