Peggy Merritt Obituary
Mrs. Peggy Carter Merritt, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, in Calcasieu 
County, LA following an extended illness. Mrs. Merritt was born June 16, 1943 in 
Alma GA to the late James Harry & Ola Mae Padgett Carter & she is the widow of 
Jimmy Merritt. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 13, 2010 
at the Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Burial in the Rocky Pond Church Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends at Sims Funeral Home on Saturday, June 12, 2010; 
calling hours are 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Mrs. Merritt is survived by: son: James 
Timothy (Ronda Tower) Merritt, Pineville, LA; daughters: Cynthia (Randell Keith) 
Ziegler, Carlyss, LA, Sheri (Bobby Dale) Boulet, Douglas, GA; mother in law, 
Lota Harrell Merritt, Douglas, GA; five grandchildren: Jacob Ryan Ziegler, 
Carlyss, LA, D'Ann Merritt Bryant, Brandon, MS, Cherish Denise Boulet, Douglas, 
GA, Ethan Hunter Boulet, Douglas, GA and Whitney Leigh Merritt, Pineville, AL; 
two great granddaughters: Brooklyn Elaine Ziegler and Kinsley Merritt Bryant. 
Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
