Bessie Minix Obituary
Mrs.  Minix, age 91, Douglas, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 
Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Minix was a 
member of The Sanctuary at Waldroup Ave and she was a sales clerk at Belks. Mrs. 
Minix was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Minix and son Jim Minix. 
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 in The Sanctuary 
on Waldroup Avenue at 2:00 p.m. with burial following in the Douglas City 
Cemetery. She is survived by the following: daughters: Nell (Carlos "Red") 
McKinnon, Willacoochee, GA; Sandy (Kirby) Holton, Douglas, GA; son: Jerry 
(Brenda) Minix, Douglas, GA; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two 
step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive 
friends on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Sims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 
9:00 p.m. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
