J. Harper on North Madison Ave in Douglas. A native of Coffee County, Mr. Vining was a retired farmer and a member of Franklin Chruch. His passing followed and extended illness. Survivors include 5 sons & 5 daughters: Rev. Walter Vining of Adel, Earl Vining of Pearson, Leon Vining of Douglas, Woodard Vining of Ft. Pierce Fla, and George Sonny Vining of Adel, Mrs D.J. Harper of Douglas, Mrs. Owen Vining of Douglas, Mrs. Mose Herring of Baxley, Mrs Chester Sanders and Mrs. Roscoe Leavens of Ft. Pierce Fla. Rev. Hansel Sears and Rev. Henry Sears jointly afficiated with music by the Beulah Church Choir. Pallbearers were: Perry Dowling, C.A. Veal, Johnnie Harper, Bernard Smith, J.A. Daniels and Hubert Carter. Honorary Pallbearers were: W. L. Dowling, C. A. Summerlin, D. L. Harper, Noah Nelson, Joe Mckinnon, John M. Wheless, Leonard Spivey, and Henry Corbitt Sr. Interment was in Franklin Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home in charge.
