Mr. Pate, a native of Brantley NC, was born March 14, 1944; he is the son of the late Woodie Stately, Sr. and Fannie Mae Norris Pate. He was a heating and air contractor. Funeral services were held 4:00 PM, Monday, October 25, 2010 at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Floyd Tanner officiating. Daughter, April Pate read a poem and several taped selections: "Go Rest High On That Mountain", "Daddy's Hands" and "Save The Last Dance For Me "were provided by the family. Survivors are; Wife, Martha Latrelle Hersey Pate, Douglas GA, Daughters, April Pate, Broxton GA, Sandie O'Conner, Cheryl Hagen and Laurie Ann Pate, Fernandina Beach FL, Hope Pate, and Shandy Cato, Douglas GA, Sons, Brian Pate, Broxton GA and Shannon Chaney Douglas GA, Brother, Donald Pate, Douglas GA, Grandchildren, Drake Corbitt, Tyler Harrell, Blake Chaney, Cheynne Chaney, Danielle Chaney, Josh O'Conner, Sarah O'Conner and Drew O'Conner.
