Shirley Prewett Obituary
Shirley Poerstel Prewett, age 84, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 
30, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Prewett was born in Alexandria, Virginia to Maxwell 
and Helen Carthrage Poerstel on April 29, 1925. Funeral services will be held at 
St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 4:00 PM with interment 
following in St. Andrews Episcopal Church Columbarium. The family will receive 
friends on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home. 
Survivors: husband, James Prewett, Douglas, GA; daughters, Judi (Dennis) 
Worrell, Douglas, GA; Jeri Hanson, Memphis, TN, Barbara Emmons (George) Athens, 
AL; sons: Larry (Kathy) Prewett, Colorado Springs, CO, Tom (Sydney) Prewett, 
Marietta, GA; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The family encourages 
donations to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers. Sims Funeral Home 
is in charge of arrangements.
