Vianne Pridgen Obituary
Mrs. Mary Vianna Nettles Pridgen, age 74, Douglas GA, passed away on August 12, 
2010 at home following an extended illness. Mrs Pridgen a native of Nicholls GA, 
was born May 24, 1936; she is the daughter of the late William and Viola Mae 
Nipper Nettles. Son, Marvin Pridgen preceded her in death. Funeral Services were 
held 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 15, 2010, at the Pridgen Baptist Church with Rev. 
Robert Wigley officiating. Taped selections by the Kirkland's of "In His Arms" 
and 'Stroll Over Heaven' was provided and Margie SWanson, pianist provided soft 
music for the prelude and postlude. Burial followed in the Pridgen Family 
Cemetery in the Pridgen Community. Active pallbearers were: William Pridgen, 
Jonathan Pridgen, Justin Johnson, Kirk McDonald, Ronnie Solomon, Bo Burke, Josh 
Pridgen, and Scottie Lott. Honorary Pallbearers were: Yvonne Maddox, Mary 
McNeil, Marcelle Taylor, Reba Roberson, Pauline Spann, Jimmie Sue Denton, Chris 
Dixon, W. L. Pridgen, Martin Sullivan, W. S. Spann, Jackie Dixon and Freddie 
Wayne Pridgen. Survivors include: Son, Ernest Pridgen, Jr., and Daughter-in-law, 
Judy Pridgen, The Pridgen Community, Sisters, Debbie Story and April Garcia, 
Okeechoobee FL, Grandchildren, William Pridgen, Jonathan Pridgen, Suzanne 
McDonald, Ashley Pridgen, Holly Pridgen and Jarrard Pridgen and Great 
Grandchild, Hayden McDonald. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
