Edward Rowland Obituary
Edward Eugene Rowland, age 79, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, July 1, 
2011 at Shady Acres Health & Convalescent Center in Douglas following an 
extended illness. Mr. Rowland was born on February 9, 1931 to the late Newton 
Matthew and Hester Ann Mercer Rowland in Alapaha, GA. A memorial service was 
held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 in the 1st Congregational Christian Church at 
11:00 a.m. with Rev. Frank Criswell officiating. Survivors include several 
nieces and nephews. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements
