 Mrs. Denise Renee Newman Sampson, age 57, of Wray, passed away Friday evening D
December 20, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness.
 Mrs. Sampson, a native of Sangler, PA, was an employee of the City of Douglas, 
having worked with the staff department of 311 and the Water Department. She 
was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Shawn Sampson, and her father, Ab
Abe Newman.
 Mrs. Sampson was a member of the Lutheran Church of Tifton.
 Survivors include her husband, James Joseph Sampson of Wray, GA; two 
daughters, Jennifer Michelle (Joe) Colwell of Ocala, FL, and Kristin Renee 
(Eddie) Roberts of Ambrose, GA and Lorelai Colwell of Ocala, FL; in-laws, Henry 
(Jean) Sampson of Port Saint Lucie, FL; brother, Randy Newman of Kingston, PA; 
brothers-in-law, Henry (Maria) Sampson, Jr. of Oak Park, IL, William (Peggy S
Sue) Sampson of Blairsville, GA and Kevin (Cathy) Sampson of Boynton Beach, FL; s
several nieces, nephew, friends and other relatives.
 Funeral services were held Monday, December 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel 
of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Steffens officiating.
 The interment followed in the Griffin Cemetery.
Pallbearers  were Joe Colwell, Eddie Roberts, Henry Sampson, Kevin Sampson, K
Kevin Michael Sampson, II, Randy Newman, Randy Dobbs, Brittany Newman Court.
 Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
