Henry Sears Obituary
Henry Luther Sears, age 91, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, December 3, 
2010 at Summer's Landing following an extended illness. Mr. Sears was born on 
June 3, 1919 to the late Henry and Bertha Lee Wood Sears. Mr. Sears was a 
veteran of World War II, a former Sunday School superintendent, a member of the 
Kiwanis Club, Gideons, President Highway 441 Assn. He was a member of the West 
Ward Street Church of God. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 
2010 in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with burial following in 
Satilla Gardens Cemetery. Survivors include: daughters: Donna Sears (Rev. Sam) 
Luke, Richmond, VA, Rita Sears (Charles) Meeks, Douglas, GA; grandchildren: 
Michele Lott, Douglas, GA, Elizabeth Meeks, St. Simons Island, GA, Sarah Luke, 
Cincinnati, OH; great grandchildren: Charles Cameron Lott and Mark Conner Lott, 
both of Douglas, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 6, 2010 
at Sims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sims Funeral Home is in charge 
of the arrangements.
