Mrs. Smith was born on August 8, 1941, in Broxton, GA, to the late Jenson Lee Williams, Sr. and Verma Harper Williams. Survivors include her son, Greg (Vicky) Smith of Broxton, GA; brother, Jenson L. Williams, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, Allen Smith and Cameron Smith, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Smith, Jr. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Broxton Baptist Church with Rev. Freddie Gardner and Rev. Derek Herlocker officiating. Music was furnished for the service by Sam Roberts and Rev. Freddie Gardner "Because He lives," and Congregation "Amazing Grace," with Barbara Rish playing the piano and Willifred Thompson playing the organ. Active pallbearers were Billy Ring, Dale Royals, Bryan Smith, Travis Kight, Jeremy Myers, Joey Burch. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Davis and Lyrlene Smith Sunday School. Interment followed at the City of Douglas Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
