Matthew & Ann Hursey Spivey.
Matthew Spivey also had a colorful life. He was a SGT in Co. C, 50th GA INF, 
and enlisted when only 13 ! he was the baby boy and wanted to join his older 
brothers in the war. He made it to April 1,1865 and was captured at 
Farmville,VA by the yankees and sent to Point Lookout P.O.W. camp and released 
about 2 months after the war was over. 
He married twice and was the Mayor of Broxton, GA, he is buried at Reedy Branch 
Baptist Church in Broxton.



Additional Comments:
The 4 Spivey brothers are from Coffee Co.GA. 
Daniel Patrick Spivey, James Erwin Spivey, John David Spivey & Matthew Spivey.
John David Spivey is my GG Grandfather and the other 3 are my GG Uncles.
They were all born in Coffee Co., GA to John A. Spivey and 
Martha Davis Spivey.
