M. GASKINS Taken from Bin "G" - Coffee County Probate Office Recorded in Book of Wills #2, page 82, April 10th, 1916 Submitted by Melody Moore McCook GEORGIA COFFEE COUNTY. I, W. M. Gaskins, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all previous will and especially the ones made by me under the dates of March 17th 1914, and March 25th 1915. Item I. I desire and direct that my body be burried at Douglas Cemetary in a decent and Christian like manner, suitable to my circumstances and condition in life, and that a neat marble tombstone be placed at my grave by my Executor and paid for from the funds of my estate. Item 2. I desire that all my just debts be paid in full without unnesessary delay, by my executor. Item 3. I give and bequeath to my son, D. E. Gaskins, and my grandson J. H. Gaskins, grandson D. W. Gaskin, and grand daughter Rosa Belle Lott all of my house hold and kitchen furinture of every kind and descrip- tion, except the best dresser and washstand which I give to my wife, Clara Gaskin, same to be selected by her. Item 4. I give and bequeath to my grand children J. H. Gaskins, D. W. Gaskins and Rosa Belle Lott, the following which is to be paid in money, to wit: To J. H. Gaskins $100.00, to D. W. Gaskins and Rosa Belle Lott the sum of $10.00 each. Item 5. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Clara Gaskins, the sum of $300,00 (*Note* this seems to be a typo and should probably read $300.00*) in money and $10.00 per month so long as she lives and remains a widow provided there is sufficient funds in the hands of my Executor to pay same. Item 6. I give and bequeath to Roy Byrd, son of Tom Byrd, my gold watch not including the chain thereof nor the medal charm thereon. Item 7. I give and bequeath to my son, D. E. Gaskins all of the residue and remainder of my property, not herein specifically bequeathed, both real and personal, of every kind and description. Item 8. I hereby appoint and constitute Thomas Byrd, of said county, as Executor of this my last will and testament, excousing and relieving him from giving bond and making returns to the Ordinary Witness my hand and seal, this July 29th, 1915.
