State of Georgia County of Georgia Last will and testament of Eli Jowers of Said State and County being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all will heretofore made by me. Item 1 I wish my executor, as soon as possible after my death, to pay my debts. If a sale of property shall be necessary I wish for him to sell first my mules, horses, waggons, buggies, and farming utensils and any other property which can be most advantageously used for that purpose; and I authorize him to sell the same at public or private sale as he may see fit. Item 2 I give to my friend Susan Newborn n trust for her use and benefit during her natural life and at her death the same to belong to her daughter Ava Rillie her heirs and assign the following described property, to wit. Twenty five (25) acres of land more or less the same being a part of _____on the North side of Laz no72 in the four (4) district of originally Irwin County now Coffee County Bounded as follows on the North by lands of W. T. Phillips on the West by a straight line to run from the North West corner of lot no72. Said line to be run in a southeasterly direction to the head of a branch and then to follow the middle of said branch until it runs into Wiggins Creek and then up the said creek in a northerly direction to the original land line. The above mentioned branchis to be the boundary line on South and the creek on the East. Also 4 milk cows and 4 calves. Item 3 I give to my sons John D., Estalee P., and Marcellus R., and my daughters Alice, Mary Etta, Rachel, and Alafair One hundred dollars more than I give to my daughters Eveline, Roella, Sylvanis, and Aljarine. Item 4 I will that all the balance on residue of my property be equally divided among my children; but before the division is made, I desire that all the children shall be made equal from said residue, each child to account fully for whatever property or money I may have given him or her. And the notes and receipts in my possession for money advanced and lent to my children I wish not to be considered as debts but as advancements irrespective of the dates of the same. Item 5 I do hereby appoint my son Estalee P. Jowers executor of this my last will and testament and as extra compensation for his services over and above commissions give him the sum of ____ to be taken from the residuary funds. In testimony where I have hereto set my hand this the 22 day of January in the year of our Lord Nineteen Hundred and One 1901. Owning valuable real and personal property in State. Petitioner herewith presents the last will and testament of said deceased and shows that he is named therein as executor.
