M. Dewberry of the county of Colquitt of the one part, and J.H. Bryan of the county of Colquitt, of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said C. W. Dewberry for and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand one Hundred Fifty ($2150) Dollars in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said J. H. Bryan an his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Colquitt, State of Georgia, containing fifty (50) acres, near the center of the North half of land lot No. One Hundred and eighty seven (187), bounded on the North by lands of J. T. Harris, on the East by lands of J. T. Harris and C.D. Richter, on the south by lands of C.D. Richter, and on the west by lands of Willie A. Smith, being the south portion of lands formerly purchased from Joel C. Lockwood. This land is purchased by the grantee herein subject to a loan in the sum of Eight hundred($800) Dollars, due to Cornelia R. Royce on October 1, 1919, said loan deed being recorded in Deed Book "CC" page 410, records of Clerk of Superior Court, Colquitt county. To have and to hold the said bargained premises, with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances thereto appertaining, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of him the said J.H. Bryan his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, in fee simple; and the C. M. Dewberry the said bargained premises unto the said J. H. Bryan his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns and against the said C. M Dewberry his heirs, executors and administrators, and against all and every other person or persons, shall and will warrant and forever defend, by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof: the said C. M. Dewberry hereunto set his hand, affixed his seal and delivered these presents, the day and year first above written. This land is in the Hartsfield area of Colquitt County and many of Jesse's descendants still live on and near that land.
