Morey Succumbs Here Roy Calvin Morey of 2800 Radium Springs rd. died Friday night at Phoebe Putney Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Doerun, he was born Aug 17, 1923, son of the late Augustus N. Morey. He lived in Mitchell County for a number of years and moved to Albany three months ago. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a superintendent with Culpepper Construction Company. Survivors include his wife, the former Hazel Grier; three sons, Donald Morey, Denver CO and Mack Morey of Albany; his mother Mrs. J. H. Gibbs, Moultrie; three brothers, Mason Morey, Albany, Boyd Morey, Guyton and Aaron Morey, Moultrie; three half sisters, Mrs. Ruthie Grier, Doerun, Mrs. Margaret Willis, Moultrie and Mrs. Toy Morgan, Warner Robbins and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Howell, pastor of Sale City Baptist Church, officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Morey, Fate Dickerson, Bradley Morey, Larry Morey, Broadus Morey and Phillip Howard. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with arrangements by Oaklawn Chapel Funeral Directors.
