The cemetery is located in the woods about 100 yards north of the highway on a utility right-of-way. 1-W.I. Chamberlin * no dates* (CSA- 12th GA Light Arty.) 2-I.N. Heggie * no dates* (CSA- Co. B, Phillip’s GA Legion) { Isaac Newton Heggie married Nancy Jane Evans, 15 Dec 1836, in Columbia Co. GA} { Nancy Jane Evans was the daughter of Humphrey Evans and Jane Smith} 3-Humphrey Evans * no dates* (CSA- Co. G, 15th GA Inf.) { Humphrey Evans married Jane Smith, 16 Jul 1802, in Columbia Co. GA} The cemetery is believed to be on the site of the Evans’ Plantation overlooking the Savannah River. "The Point", as it is referred to, is mentioned in the will of Humprey Evans. All three graves have military markers. There are several depressions consistent with other gravesites in the same area beneath a very large cedar tree. Others who are possibly buried in this cemetery are James Lawrence Heggie, his wife Jane C. Reid Heggie and their son Isaac R. Heggie (born 1842 in Columbia Co. GA). James A. Hall, Sr. 22 Jul 1999
