This property is owned by Fort Gordon so you must have a military ID to enter. The cemetery is well maintained. There is an approx 3 foot high and 2 foot thick stone wall surrounding the cemetery. There is an historical marker at the site. Inside the stone wall are two stone vaults with intact flat slab lids and an upright obelisk. In the memory of Thomas Hardin. Born in VA 15 Sep 1787 and in 1789 his parents moved to GA. He married 29 Dec 1816 to Gracey Reid in Columbia Co and died 24 Sep 1853, aged 66 years and 9 days. This inscription is on the lid of one of the vaults. Gracey Hardin Born in GA 1791. Died 22 Dec 1859, aged 68. This inscription is on the lid of the 2nd vault. It is unreadable, however. This information was taken off of the memorial marker. There is an upright obelisk that is engraved on two sides with the following information: R.J. Hardin 30 Mar 1826 - 18 Jul 1901 Mary F. Hardin 16 Jan 1848 - 23 Mar 1904
