All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Bob & Linda Ellis http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00017.html#0004075 February 12, 2010, 6:30 pm Written: April 1, 1799 Recorded: February 13, 1817 1799 William Ayres to Richard Dunn deed 200 Acres Recorded 13 Feby 1817 Georgia Columbia County This indenture made and entered into this first day of April in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine and in the twenty third year of the independence of the United States of America between William Ayres of the one part and Richard Dunn of the other part both of the state and county of Columbia Witnesseth that the said William Ayres for and in the consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath bargained, sold, conveyed and delivered and by these presents do bargain sell, convey and deliver unto Richard Dunn aforesaid all and singular that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the state and county aforesaid on the waters of Greenbriar Creek and near the fork thereof containing by estimation two hundred acres be the same more or less having such shapes and boundaries artificial and natural as are fully delunated by a grant made to William Ayres and by the said Ayres to Richard Dunn lying in Columbia County and state aforesaid bounding North east and South east by vacant land at the time of survey Southwest by Uptons land and Northwest by Storeys land to have and to hold the said tract and premises and appurtenances to him the said Richard Dunn his heirs and assigns and to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof in fee simple forever and that the said William Ayres for himself and his heirs executors or administrators the said tract or parcel of land aforesaid and all and every part thereof to him the said Richard Dunn his heirs or assigns against the right, title, interest, claim or pretentions of him the said William Ayres his heirs, Executors or Administrators and all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will forever warrant and defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said William Ayres hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date aforesaid Signed sealed & delivered in presence of Wm. Dunn William Ayres John (X) Jones Georgia Columbia County Before me personally appeared William Dunn & made oath that he saw Willaim Ayres assign the within deed and that he assigned his name as a witness and saw John Jones assigned as a witness.
