Land to William S. Dunn Registered January 24th 1824 Georgia Columbia County This indenture made the twelfth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four. Between Elias Beall administrator on the estate of Howard Beall deceased of the County of Oglethorpe and State aforesaid of the one part and William S. Dunn of the County & State first written of the other. Witnesseth that the said Elias Beall administrator as aforesaid did on the first Tuesday in November eighteen hundred and twenty three agreeable to an order of the honorable the Court of Ordinary for the County of Oglethorpe offer for sale agreeable to public notice given in the Georgia Journal for sixty days before the Court house door in the County of Columbia at public outcry by the Sheriff of said County one tract of land laying in the County of Columbia it being part of the real estate of James Fleming deceased, containing one hundred and ninety four acres be the same more or less it being five equal moities or lots as laid off and drawn for by the heirs of James Fleming decd to wit Eleanor Bussey, Robert Fleming, John Fleming, William Fleming and John Fleming heirs of said deceased Now the said William S. Dunn becoming the highest and last bidder did bid off said land at Five hundred, whereas for the consideration of the aforesaid sum of Five hundred dollars to the said Elias Beall, Admr aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do sell as administrator aforesaid the aforesaid described tract of land as the real estate of Howard Beal deceased. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any thereunto attached and the said Elias Beall as administrator on the estate aforesaid do forever warrant and defend the right and title in fee simple as administrator as aforesaid from himself his heirs and assigns & from all other persons whatsoever unto the said William S. Dunn his heirs and assigns &c for his own and proper use and benefit. Given under my hand and seal in the presents of this day and year first written. Test Polly (x) Jones Elias Beall, Admr Sarah Wright on the Estate of Howard Beal, Elvers Jordan deceased Georgia Columbia County Personally came before me Elvers Jordan one of the subscribing witnesses to the within deed he being duly sworn deposeth and saith that he saw Elias Beall Admr &c sign seal and acknowledge the within instrument as his act and deed, and saw the other witnesses sign the same for like purposes with himself.
