Heirs of Josias Boswell Deed

This indenture made this eighth day of January in the year of our Lord 
one thousand & eight hundred and twenty three. Between Levi Boswell, 
Josias Boswell, William S Boswell, Daniel Whitaker in right of his
wife Sarah, and Joseph Garbriel in right of his Eliza and legatees of the 
Estate of Josias Boswell late of Columbia County and state aforesaid 
deceased of the one part and Henry Cliat of the State and County 
aforesaid of the other part. Witnessath that the said Levi Boswell, 
Josias Boswell, William S Boswell, Daniel Whitaker and Joseph Gartrill 
for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty three 
dollars & fifty cents to them in hand well and truly paid by the said 
Henry Cliatt at or before the sealing and delivery of this presents the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge. Hath granted, bargained, sold and 
conveyed and by trustee of our beding the sole heirs and legatee of the 
said Josias Boswell deceased do grant bargain sell & convey unto the said 
Henry Cliatt his heirs and assignee forever all that piece or parcel of 
land situate lying and being in the state and county aforesaid on that 
waters of the Uchee Creek containing seventy acres more or less, bounded 
this time on the north by lands of Jonathan & Henry Cliatt, East by lands 
belonging to the heirs of Joseph Ware, South by Mary & Tudors. West by 
lands belonging to the estate of said Boswell which said tract or lat of 
land is a part of three hundred and fifty acres granted being Aldridge 
and by him conveyed to Thomas Bullman the second day of April 1795 and by 
him conveyed to Josias Boswell the fifth day of October 18-4 which said 
tract or lot of land is more particularly represented in platts annexed 
to the two foregoing decor of conveyances. Together with all and singular 
the rights members and affaur tenancy thereof whatsoever to the said 
tract or parcel of land being belonging or in any with appurtaining and 
tho remainder revirdious rents fairs and profits thereof and of every 
part thereof. To have and to hold tho said tract or parcel of land and 
all and singular the primidy and oppuntinance thereon to belonging as 
aforesiad and every part thereof unto the said Henry Cliatt his being and 
------- to the only proper use benefit and behalf of the said Henry 
Cliatt his heirs and assigns forever and the said Levi Boswell, Josias 
Boswell, William S Boswell, Daniel Whitaker and Joseph Gartrill heirs & 
legatees aforesaid and thier heirs the tract of land and parmidy 
aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Henry Cliatt by being and 
assigning against them the said Levi Boswell, Josias Boswell, William S 
Boswell, Daniel Whitaker and Joseph Gartrell and their heirs and the 
heirs of said Josias Boswell deceased and all and every other person or 
persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these 
presents. 

In witness whereof the said Levi Boswell, Josias Boswell, William S 
Boswell, Daniel Whitaker, and Joseph Gartrell in right of their wives and 
has hereunto let their hands and seals the day and year first written
