BOWDRE & E. BOWDRE of GEORGIA This indenture made this second day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three between John Flourance administrator and Elizabeth Flourance administratrise of the Estate of William Flourance, deceased of the one part and Richard G. Bowdre and Edmond Bowdre of the County of Columbia and State aforesaid of the other part. WHEREAS by an order of the Honorable the Superior Court of the County of Columbia granted on the twenty first day of June Eighteen Hundred and two in the following words. Viz-on the petition of John Flourance and Elizabeth Flourance, administrators of William Flourance deceased praying an order for the sale of the tract of land lying in the County of Columbia joining James Martin containing two hundred acres which was the real estate of the said deceased and it appearing to the court that due notice had been published, it is ordered that the said land be sold in terms of the act of the General Assembly in such cases made and provided no person appeared to gainsay the same and where as the said John Flourance and Elizabeth Flourance administrators foresaid. Sixty days notice being previously given in one of the Augusta Gazettes as required by law did on the nineteenth day of January in the year first aforesaid at public auction sell to the highest bidder the tract of land aforesaid belinging to the estate of the said William Flourance deceased and the said Richard G. Bowdre and Edmund Bowdre because purchasor of all that tract of land containing two hundred acres on the water of the great Kioka Creek in the county and state aforesaid bounded westwaaardy by lands of James Martin and John Dorset, Northeasterly by lands of Lazenby and Gibson southeasterly by land of John Briscoe and Graves which said tract of land was originally granted to John Smith and by him conveyed to the said William Flourance deceased aforesaid. Together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and also the revisions remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof together with all the estate right title claim and demand to the said tract of land and premises aforesaid to have and to hold the said tract of land and premises aforesaid and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Richard G. Bowdree and Edmund Bowdree, their heirs and assign, forever, and the said John Flourance and Elizabeth administrators aforesaid for them selves and their heirs, and the heirs of the said William Flourance deceased the tract of land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof against themselves and their heirs and the heirs of the said William Flourance deceased of any person or persons whatsoever to the said Richard G. Bowdre and Edmund Bowdre their heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents. IN witness whereof the said John Flourance and Elizabeth Flourance administrators hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and date within written.
