Dunn to Martha E. Dunn Recorded Jany 13th, 1868 N. H. Barden, Clk Georgia Harris County Know all men by these presents that I William S. Dunn Senr. of the County of Harris and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the love and affection which I have for my daughter Martha E. Dunn of the County of Harris and State aforesaid as well as for the sum of five dollars to me in hand paid by William S. Dunn, Jr. at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do give grant and convey and by these presents do give grant and convey unto the said Martha E. Dunn the named Negro, to wit, Laura a woman about sixteen years old, To have and to hold said Negro for the following use and condition (viz) for the use and maintenance of the said Martha E. Dunn and during her natural life and after her death to go to vest absolutely in her children of said Martha E. Dunn but in no wise to be subject to the debts of the said Martha E. Dunn or any contracts that she may hereafter make or any that she may have heretofore contracted but to be held by the said Williams S. Dunn, Junr. in trust as aforesaid for the support and maintenance of the said Martha E. Dunn, and should the said Martha E. Dunn depart this life bearing no issue then in that case the aforesaid property to wit the Negro herein together with their issue to revert to the said William S. Dunn, Senr. In Witness whereof I the said William S. Dunn, Senr. have hereunto set my hand and seal 2nd day of January eighteen hundred and sixty five. Signed sealed and delivered in presence. A.O.
