Dunn to Josiah Stovall Registered Feby 16th 1860 Georgia Columbia County This Indenture made the twenty first day of May one thousand and fifty eight between William S. Dunn of the County and state aforesaid of the one part and Josiah Stovall of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said William S. Dunn for and in consideration of the sum of twenty one hundred dollars to him in hand (paid) at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Josiah Stovall his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the waters of Sullivans Creek containing three hundred and twenty six acres more or less beginning at a pine on the road running South eighty seven (87) east to a pine stump on said road thence North eight (8) East one chain and forty links to P oak thence South eighty (80) east to red oak on the road seven chains thence North 77 ½ east seven chains & fifty links thence North 62 East 8 chains thence North 58 east six chains thence North 60 East 11.75 to stake thence South 6 East 23.73 to stake thence 26° to hickory thence South 14 to stake Dunns thence South 57 West 36.50 thence South 30 East 38.45 stake thence North 52 east 4 chains to pine thence 31 east 50 thence 35 East 8.30 to fallen red oak South 28 east 18 chains to stake West fallen red oak north 65 West on Huchingsons line 58.50 links to rock thence south 67 West 418 links to stake north 30 west on Bolins line 48.85 links to pine thence north 58 ½ east 30.40 links to stake thence North 17 west 17.65 to pine stump Dunns corner thence 7 west 7.80 links to pine beginning corner. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Josiah Stovall his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said William S. Dunn for himself his heirs assigns Executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Josiah Stovall his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claims of all other persons whatsoever.
