William Roussau to James Ray
Recorded the 20th September 1810


This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of March eighteen hundred and Seven 
Between William Roussau of the County of Columbia and State of Georgia of the 
one part and James Ray of the State and County aforesaid of the other part 
Witnesseth that the said William Roussau for an in consideration of the Sum of 
one hundred and thirteen dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged 
Hath granted bargained and sold unto the said James Ray his heirs and assigns 
all that tract or part track or parcel of land lying in the County aforesaid 
Containing twenty two and three quarter acres Bounded Westwardly by land of the 
said James Ray being part of a tract of land originally to William McMarren 
containing three hundred and fifty acres by grant bearing date ________________ 
having such form and Marks as are expressed by the annexed platt thereof 
Together with all and Singular the right members and appurtenances to the said 
part tract of land belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold 
the said part tract of twenty two and three quarter acres land and premises and 
every part thereof unto the said James Ray his heirs and assigns against him 
the said William Roussau his heirs and assigns and all and every other person 
or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these 
presents. In Witness whereof the said William Roussau hath hereunto set his 
hand and Seal the day and year first above written.
